Agreement

Terms of Service

Last updated July 12, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using TaxGhost (the “Site”), operated by TaxGhost, Inc. (“we,” “us”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. The calculators are free tools; no purchase or account is required to use them.

2. What we provide

TaxGhost provides estimation tools that compute figures from the inputs you enter using the tax rules described in our methodology. The tools are educational and planning aids. They are not tax preparation software and do not file any return with the IRS or any state.

3. No advice; no professional relationship

Nothing on the Site constitutes tax, legal, accounting, or investment advice, or creates a practitioner–client relationship subject to IRS Circular 230. See our tax disclaimer. You should consult a qualified professional before acting on any estimate.

4. Accuracy and the engine

We maintain the engine to the parameters published for tax year 2026 and version it transparently (see the stamp on any result). However, the law changes, inputs vary, and simplifications apply. Estimates may differ from your actual liability. We may correct the engine at any time; the version and update date on each result indicate which parameters produced it.

5. Acceptable use

You may not scrape the Site at volume, attempt to reverse-engineer the engine for resale, submit inputs on another’s behalf without consent, or use the Site for any unlawful purpose. Rate limits may apply.

6. Email capture

If you save a result to email, we store the email address and a snapshot of the inputs and estimate for the purpose described in our privacy policy. You may request deletion at any time.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, and TaxGhost is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, an estimate. This includes estimates used for quarterly payments, withholding elections, or filing decisions.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms and will revise the date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

9. Contact

TaxGhost

The monitor and calculators are live and free. The connected version — document reading and account links — is in development.

TaxGhost is tax monitoring software. It is not a CPA, an enrolled agent, or a tax attorney. It does not represent you in an audit or prepare your tax return. Calculations are estimates for planning.
